Options for today's woman

There are many birth control options available today. Oral contraceptives (the Pill) is one of those options, proven to be over 99% effective when used correctly.

Many women differ in their response to oral contraceptives depending upon their menses type (light flow, moderate flow, heavy flow), their body type (underweight, normal weight, overweight) and their ovarian hormone sensitivity (estrogen-sensitive, androgen-sensitive, progesterone-sensitive).

When choosing an oral contraceptive, consult with your doctor to find one that’s tailored to meet your individual needs.

Just the Facts

Birth control pills, injections, implants, IUDs, and sterilization are most reliable for preventing pregnancy. Of every 100 women who use one of these types of birth control for a year, about 1 to 5 women will become pregnant.
